braveops Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 well got my ka24 today from hardboody but has car ecm/harness and intake and truck ecm it came with #10 6y10 box but had ka24de written on it in pen can i use this box on it? i cant seem to find where it was that listed the box numbers to use Quote Link to comment

datzenmike Posted November 14, 2013 Report Share Posted November 14, 2013 I think the standard transmission ECU have a rev limiter in case of fanboy F&F missed shifts. The speedo is an electric sensor in the place of a cable speedo drive and the ecu needs input from it to know vehicle speed. If you have the matching transmission it should work fine. The automatic is always in gear so hard to over rev on a shift. No rev limiter on them so more desirable. Quote Link to comment
