Newbie to 720's yet always played around with Datsuns though mainly P510 P610 now onto the P720 Like any Datsun/Nissan you never stop trying to make them better. TBH I didn't know what a 720 Kingcab was I had always seen them beaten up as Brickies work utes. Found myself to land this 720 KINGCAB being a light utility vehicle I thought to play around with it. I currently have this project, future mods on going! Current build L20B - U95 Freshly Rebuilt Z22 pistons - compression ratio in each cylinder is 180even A87 Datrally 40mm inlets over size outlets running standard valves Cam 74 Wade New valves, H/duty springs Clearances between tappets 0.08inlets 0.010outlets New 9mm leads S2 electronic distributor, new module, coil NGK platinum spark plugs Timing is set and runs between 10-20 advanced. Running twin 40mm Dellorto's Alloy 56mm 3CORE Radiator Hoses are silicon 5 speed 240K yet to be installed has close ratios, currently running a 260Z 5 Speed New clutch/flywheel yet to be fitted. Replaced tail shaft middle bearing. New disks, Shoes, pads, cylinders front rear. All new hoses brake lines clutch New 35mm Shocks Front/Rear New whiteline/nolathane bushes rubbers all changed 3" drop on the rear H/duty U bolts plus alloy block. Front torsions lowered. 2" exaust right through, standard manifold atm waiting on ceramic coated shortys extractors to arrive. Wrapping them in fresh rubbers 18's all the way yay, going with the H3 rims. Selling the D40's 16's now. H/D Suspension all tricked up, all new Nolathane and or While line bushes rubbers etc. 35mm oversize shocks Gabriel Ultras (As I am quite low I need new bump stops?) roughly only 10mm clearance atm on the standard bump rubber stops on the rear. 240K 5 Speed now in, new clutch kit... need to hook up the tailshaft. Yay. Got my FelPro L20B Gasket kit today from the USA, very nice quality indeed expensive to post but worth it, head coming off again so soon yes while changing the gasket I'll be looking at the bores and rings seems to be eating oil? theres no leaks anywhere except whitish smoke under heavy loads (GAS) runs great though. I love the mirrors yet not the placements covering existing holes from the previous mirrors for now. Lowered the front a little more :D love my 720 :) these wheels are a perfect offset no rubbing drives heavy on the wheel apart from that I am definitely more tame behind the wheel since the new editions.
