The p.o. Had plans of dropping a Buick 215 in. He ran out of motivation, money and health. We car is ruff but fairly rust free. We are going to return it to a L20B. Lots of parts to locate and build. This will be my son's first car. My first car was a 73 two door 510,that I regret ever selling.

We changed the front struts to 280zx with lowered spring perches, better brakes and new brake lines. The next step was to locate a core engine to build. I found the worst engine in all of Denver's junk yards. I spent the better part of a day pulling a L20 out of a '77 620,only to find it had snapped a rod and scored the crank. Back to the same junk yard for another bottom end.

The engine is built. We bored the block to fit 86mm flat top 280z pistons. The head has all new valves and an upgraded cam from Jeff Winters at Rallye sport.

The 620 oil pan wasn't going to work. I got the right 510 pan from Rallye sport. The engine bracket in this photo is still the 620 type.Ratsun member Just Joel come through and got me some 510 engine brackets. I got a 280zx 5 speed transmission from pull n save.

The dash pad was cracked and in need of some attention. I read a good "how to" in Ratsun and figured it would be a great weekend project.

It started with flexible bumper epoxy and then a layer of fiberglass. Then lots of sanding

More sanding and body filler for the dash pad

So the nick name for this build is never mind. It was chosen by my son. It is his all time favorite album and it reflects the previous owner. He took it all apart and lost interest in it 15 years ago. Some how misplacing the title, keys, drive train and all the small stuff that is hard to come by. We striped the dash pad and made the nick name part of the interior. Clear coated the dash for long term protection.

We installed a hydrolic E brake and temporarily installed seats. The seats are coming out soon for the roll cage fabrication.
