Robertopz1
I am new to the Datsun family. We just purchased a 1978 B210. She's my first classic car, and I have to admit, she's gonna need a lot of work. She runs great except it doesn't have a ignition switch. I'm currently turning the engine on with a flat head. I've looked online but that place is hectic. If you sell parts or know good Datsun websites, I would appreciate if you passed along information. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Try http://community.ratsun.net/classifieds/category/12-miscellaneous/?sort_key=date_added&sort_order=desc maybe someone has one sitting around. Make sure you specify the key lock not the switch itself. 1 Quote Link to comment
LenRobertson
A couple of sources of a new lock cylinder with keys: http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?ck[iD]=0&ck[idlist]=0&ck[viewcurrency]=USD&ck[php_SESSION_ID]=mh0eb35k9rgke58825ecscu037 http://www.autozone.com/autozone/parts/1978-Nissan-Datsun-B210/Ignition-Lock-Cylinder/_/N-imxmlZ9cice Your local autoparts store maybe can order you a similar one. Here is info on getting the cylinder out: http://community.ratsun.net/topic/47412-how-to-dissasemble-datsun-510-ignition-switch-and-rekey/ I've heard that a locksmith can use something to "read" the inside of a lock and then make a new key. But I suspect it will be cheaper (although maybe not easier) to buy a replacement cylinder. Len Quote Link to comment
