Esteban
I'm have trouble with my truck idling when i take the choke off. It just dies! Is this a vacuum problem or a carb problem? This truck sat for almost 12 year! Quote Link to comment
420n620
sounds like all you might have to do is turn up the idle, have ya tried that ? Quote Link to comment

520 gasser
To check for vacume leaks get it to idal with the choke on and spray starter fluid around the carb and anywhere you think it might be leaking. If There is a leed it will eather kill the motor or rev the motor done this with many old ford flat heads Quote Link to comment
420n620
what about the idle circuit screw aka mixture screw ? Maybe the idle screw is not out enough. since the trk sat for 12 yrs, did you dismantle the carb and clean the passages out, the metering screws etc etc. . Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Gas has probably evaporated and left a varnish on everything. I would count the turns out and remove the mixture screw. Get a can of carb cleaner, the one with the red straw. Poke the straw into the idle mixture screw hole and blast it out. Replace the idle mixture screw. See if that fixes it. Quote Link to comment
