datzenmike
You have 18" rims and friend has 18" tires??? Your stock tire and rim is 195/75R14s that are... 25.5" tall and 7.7" wide Those 225/60R18 are ..................................... 28.63 tall and 8.86 wide. So go take a look at your tires and imagine them being just over 1.5" larger all the way round the edge. How wide are the other rims????? Those other tires are almost 9" wide so you don't want to try stretching them onto a 7" wide rim. Now the big question. What is the rim off set??? Too much positive off set and the tire insides will rub the leaf springs on the back or the frame on turns. Too much negative off set and they will stick out past the wheel wells and on big bumps the body will come down on the tread. Won't even fit a lowered truck. The other tire is also 12% larger, throwing the speedo off and it makes for poor acceleration too. Never fall in love with a woman (or rim) that isn't a good fit. Make the rim fit the truck, not the other way round. 1 Quote Link to comment

h190
235/40-18 Do not let ANYBODY tell you that a 225/40-18 is the way to go, it is TOO skinny any the lip of the rim will stick out and the tires will look stretched. The 235's sit flush. Quote Link to comment
lanechurch920
Cool Thanks for the advice Quote Link to comment

Still need the width of rim and the offset. Assuming they are say 8" wide a close match to the stock tire but in 18" rim size is... 210/45R18.... about 8.25" wide and same height so your speedo stays accurate. 215/45R18.... about 8.5" wide 235/40R18... about 9.25" wide. 235/40-18 Do not let ANYBODY tell you that a 225/40-18 is the way to go, it is TOO skinny any the lip of the rim will stick out and the tires will look stretched. But yes we do need to know the width if it is an aftermarket wheel. Quote Link to comment
lanechurch920
There Ultras 9" wide not sure of back spacing Quote Link to comment
h190
There Ultras 9" wide not sure of back spacing THEN A 235/40-18" WOULD BE IN ORDER. Quote Link to comment
