Recommended Posts

i was looking into Yulon Motors out of china because apparently they been making nissans since the 60s. a lot of models that we have, continued to be produced well after they were canceled in the US. for instance, according to wikipedia, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nissan_vehicles_Yulon_Motors_has_built_under_license ,  the b310 was made until 1991.   its got me curious what else is still available over there,  i know there are many smart people here on ratsun, surely at least one of us has a connection? or atleast knows more about Yulon

Well that would be me. My wife is Taiwanese and we/she go/goes back to Taiwan 1-2 times a year. There really is not as much available as you would think.

BTW my mandarin is really bad...

Oh and Yulon motors is out of Taiwan not China (PRC). Believe me it makes a big difference.

If youve got any Cantonese contacts, they may be able to search Hong Kong (for those that dont already speak English).

Hong Kong is a dead end.

I've found stuff off the Taiwanese version of Egay (NOT EBAY) before but it is not cheap or common and getting prices requires calling the seller. Closer to Craigslist but organized like EBay.

But note sometimes the prices are just made up, or are the model number or all 8 (lucky number). For USD just divide by 30

thats a shame, i was really hoping there would be something to this.  it was a LHD sunny truck that first brought yulon to my attention, someone over on JNC had recently post some pictures of his '91.

Skib is your man... message him on here... he speaks 36 languages, knows 10 forms of Martial arts, and has got his masters at Harvard 4 times! Ill message him and have him get in contact with you as he can be somewhat hard to get in touch with, He has 4 jobs is active in the military and military relations, And does a lot of deep sea diving out in the Bahamas on weekends. Oh shit I just realized you said mandarin, I thought you said Mongolian  My bad, that is not a language Skib has covered yet... Now there's this guy I've heard some legends about on here, I believe his name is mike. He lives somewhere Isolated in the Canadian wilderness, He fashioned a computer out of tree bark and precious metal and stones than he mined for, using only a shovel and a Weber carburetor I might add. The legend has it that mike was In russia trying to bring down stallin and his communist regime, but things got hot and fate found him in china living as a bounty hunter waiting for things to cool off. I heard that he speaks mandarin. AND hes a little easier to get ahold of as he is usually in his cave or out skinning bears and timberwolves...

Ni hao!

I was in China for a month last year and was disappointed to find nothing at all on the mainland, except for one old "D" emblem at an Infiniti dealer. Sounds like Taiwan is a little better. Hong Kong was also disappointing, just returned from there!
