Ricky116
Ive been thinking about this forever. I have su's on my L18 in my 78 kingcab and I want to use an oem airbox but the booster is totally in the way so I have a early (73 I think) brake booster that is much smaller but theres still not enough room. Im thinking, well I can put smaller insulators in between the manifold and carbs but still need more room any suggestions or info on this? Thanks in advance Ricky Quote Link to comment
Tristin
Cut up the airbox. Quote Link to comment
wayno
You will likely have to fabricate something like the 720 diesel engine filter assembly, or use 2 small flat/low profile filters. I am using the OEM airbox(likely from a 510), that has been modified(made smaller), but I don't have a power brake booster in my 521 either. What are you using now? Quote Link to comment
Ricky116
I haven't drove more than a 150 miles in the last 5 years so I have never put anything on just drove it without but now Im really close to having it 100% restored and will be driving it regularly. Quote Link to comment
wayno
It is easiest just to buy 2 low profile round filters and drive it till you see/find some better way. Quote Link to comment
Ricky116
I have some small KnN filters I just want to figure out how to make the blue oem style work. Im trying to build my truck in a manner that looks like truck came that way. :) Quote Link to comment
