yoursurfer
My friend owns a machine shop and a guy dropped of a datsun motor to be machined, never picked it up. My friend is looking to sell and get what he has into it. It has been hot tanked, decked and bored .50mm over. It is a 4 cylinder serial number 257848W, also has PA3004B and 53F M2 on one side. Block include new pistons and rings owed amout is 270.00 Link to comment
datzenmike
A picture would help. If it is just a block, look on the passenger side top beside the #4 piston hole, IF, it's an L series it will have the engine size stamped on a raised boss just below where the head would meet the block. If it is a Z OR a KA series block look on the drivers side between the #2 and #3 bore near the top where the head would meet the block. The engine type and size may be stamped there. A picture of the work done would be even nicer You can't blindly over bore a block without the replacement pistons to measure the size. Are there pistons? Link to comment
yoursurfer
the pistons and rings were bought for the bore. They are the right ones. Link to comment
