Fuelrags Posted July 3, 2008 Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 Well Guys, I just installed a fresh replacement Hitachi Carb. and have a problem. When I accelerate from a stop, It tends to get a 'flat spot on the throttle and it feels like it wants to stall....so now I have to feather the throttle after coming to a stop. Is this a common problem for these Carbs????Help! THX!!!!! Quote Link to comment
datzenmike Posted July 3, 2008 Report Share Posted July 3, 2008 With engine off. Take the air filter top off and work the throttle by hand while looking down the carb. There should be a strong squirt of gas into the barrel closest the valve cover. If just a dribble or none that's the problem. Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz) Posted July 4, 2008 Report Share Posted July 4, 2008 adjust the mixture screw,the one with the tension spring. turn it IN/Out till it runs the best. If possible then adjust the speed screw to set idle speed. adjust timming also make sure choke s OFFwhen car/truck is warmed up Quote Link to comment
