datsunfreak
any tips on what shock inserts (preferable short strock) should i buy for my b310 There are tons of options out there, just depends on how low you want to go. For a moderate lowering (3" or less) I'd use inserts for a '79-83 280ZX. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Yes, you can install similar on B310 stock struts. But they won't make any difference. Quote Link to comment

datsunfreak
i need some Help, i wish to fit metal bumpers on my b310, however i don't know from which cars they are taken. Ideally, from another B310. Probably from Japan, as it seems to be the only market that got the "good looking" ones. Quote Link to comment
prophet1012
I found these ones for sale and over here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/110987205835?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 They should fit my b310 just fine. however, I am worried about the holes that are along the bumper. Can they be covered? as the ones that are usually found on japan yahoo have a cutout for the number plate, which is different from the one I need as my number plate attaches above the bumper not under it. I need on such as this one Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
however, I am worried about the holes that are along the bumper. Can they be covered? I just used chrome bumper bolts. the one that are normally used to hold it on, I used to fill the holes. 1 Quote Link to comment

prophet1012
Today i just did some tidying up and attempting to return my b310 to factory state xD these are some photos of stripping done. tomorrow I will upload some more photos of the more finished result. Unfortunately i realizes that my rear shelf is completely shot, I need to get directions on how to either buy another or construct one myself. the problem is that there are no blueprints or schematics on how to built one. If anyone can help please do so, i would really appropriate it especially since next Saturday i will be participating in a car show for the first time haha Quote Link to comment

prophet1012
still a long way to go, namely lowering, rims and respray and maybe a ca18det, but i am still wondering if i should keep the a12 it has and tune it to the limit (re-boring webbers ect) ....."stock" cars have their attractiveness as well. the greatest problem i have is finding extra struts and springs :( as i don't want to mess up with the original ones :D Quote Link to comment
datsunfreak
still a long way to go, namely lowering, rims and respray Well, of course. B) I would just kill to have a clean stock 4dr. I certainly wouldn't keep it looking stock for long. still wondering if i should keep the a12 it has and tune it to the limit (re-boring webbers ect) ....."stock" cars have their attractiveness as well. I would see if you can locate an A14 and build that up instead? the greatest problem i have is finding extra struts and springs as i don't want to mess up with the original ones If you can find one in a junkyard, the struts from a 280ZX would be a nice upgrade? ;) And the springs from a 240Z/260Z/280Z will fit your car. prophet1012
In Malta there is only 2 or 3 240zx at all. I have to find them (springs and or struts) from either America or Japan (if you know someone who is selling either springs or struts or both tell me :) if the price is right i may buy them). That is very good to know, i think it would be easier to find springs from 240Z/260Z/280Z than from a damn b310. i visited almost every scrapyard in Malta, they are very rar nowadays, i only seen 2 that are in a good condition as mine which is really sad and irritating (since i can't seem to find one for parts at all, not even rusted as hell) Quote Link to comment
prophet1012
I would see if you can locate an A14 and build that up instead? are a14 available disassembled? Quote Link to comment

You should probably take "if the price is right" out of your vocabulary. The parts would be cheap (at least from the US), but shipping will be a killer. Now if you had some parts to trade, that would be a different story. You know what I need. Send me a PM if you want to work out a deal that suits us both... B) are a14 available disassembled? You would probably need to buy an engine from the US or from England, if it never came installed in any of your cars. Quote Link to comment
