dat521gatherer
One blade has already come off and another is cracked and rattling. My daughter needs this to keep it on the road and get to school and work. FAN ONLY. Link to comment
ggzilla
They came three ways. Which do you need? Got a Pic? * 310mm High offset * 310mm Low offset * 330mm Link to comment
Dguy210
Several of the L series fans are direct bolt ons to the A series fan clutch. For instance, I run a 7 blade plastic fan that I was told was from a 620. Note though the 620 got a lot of different fans though, so depending on your shroud you may need to trim the blade ends a tiny bit (~1/16) as I've noticed minor differences in blade length probably depending on the fan, e.g. some bolt up and clear no problem, some don't. You can also cheat a bit on the fan to radiator spacing if need be by bolting the fan to the back of the clutch instead of the front. You can also just go electric fan too.. Link to comment

ggzilla
Try to get a pic of the front of the fan where the bolts go. That will show which offset it is. Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Kinda hard to get a pic from the front. This is what I ended up with. <a href="http://s272.photobucket.com/albums/jj172/dat521gatherer/datsun%20b210/?action=view¤t=SANY0185.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj172/dat521gatherer/datsun%20b210/SANY0185.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> Link to comment
ggzilla
That is a custom fitted job. Not factory. Link to comment
dat521gatherer
What does factory look like? Link to comment
ggzilla
All factory A14 fans are plastic bladed. Aftermarket A/C or dealer-installed A/C used non-stock fans (B210 did not have a factory air option). The distance from pump to radiator is huge ... What diameter is that fan? Link to comment
ggzilla
You can find a replacement for that generic fan at NAPA or O'Reillys (they may need to order it). It is universal fit with slotted bolt holes, just make sure the center hole is the correct size to match that spacer. Link to comment
bananahamuck
It does look like one of those hot rod type generic flex-a-lite fans to me to... yours looks to be stainless fins but i have bought them with fiberglass fins so we could cut them to fit easier... (edit) but by my posts on here you can tell i know very little about b210s Link to comment
ggzilla
The factory setup might work, but it depends on which of the two water pump are installed: Short pump: pulley bolt center 2.370" (60 mm bolt circle) Long pump: pulley bolt center 1.970" (50 mm bolt circle) For short pump: Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Now the water pump is growling so I am going to try to put a factory plastic fan back on and buy a pump. I wont know anything until I pull it apart this weekend. It did have the dealer installed a/c at one time. Is that why I have that huge gap? Link to comment
ggzilla
On second look, the gap between fan and radiator looks correct -- the fan is within the shroud. I'm pretty sure you are gonna need the low offset fan + factory spacer to make it work. You can measure the bolt circle when you get it apart. Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Okay this is finally done. Every little project that should take hours or days has turned into weeks lately. I ended up using the metal fan in the end for now. 2 trips to the junk yark. 2 trips to the auto store. Some paint to wrap it all up. Thanks for the help guys. Looks like the long pump according to ggzilla's pic. The rest of this projects pics can be viewed on my b210 thread in a few minutes. http://community.ratsun.net/topic/33268-a-new-addition-to-the-family/ End result pic. Link to comment
