rusty68mgb
Hi, new to Ratsun and NICO. I bought a '65 L320 Thanksgiving weekend. It is rust free but missing engine, trans and driveshaft. I have asked for input from Ratsun community and the suggestions seem to support installing a '80's 210/310 A15 motor with a 5 speed. I am in Maine. Shipping/transportation will be a problem so I would like to find something close. If that doesn't work out and you are willing to ship, drop me a line. rwatson@nhbragg.com is my email. I would buy a complete crappy car if close to me. Help me get another 320 back on the road, thanks, Rick. Link to comment
datzenmike
As you are changing everything, and this is not a 'drop in' swap, don't overlook an L20B motor and 4 speed either. Link to comment
rusty68mgb
I trust your advise. What was L20B used in? I found a 1977 Kingcab in running/driving but otherwise needy condition close by. Would that make sense to buy and use? Thanks, Rick. Link to comment
ggzilla
We support installing an A14 into a 320? Perhaps someone suggested it will work with some custom modification. It has been done several times. For all that work, I'd but a larger little engine in, at least a 2-liter. The 320 payload is 1/2 ton, more than a 620. Although they did have a 620 HD option. wayno
The L block in a 320 is tight, very tight, but it has been done, https://www.google.c...uG9CuAL8Fq5Y62g This guy has no stock fan or heater in the cab, it is not impossible, but the A series block is a lot easier. This is an A15/dual SUs with a dogleg 5 speed. Link to comment
