Turbo doesnt need an intercooler either.

 

Now that depends on the amount of boost you are running doesn't it? I know it doesn't need it, but turbos have a heavy amount of hear generated and cooling is strongly recommended

Its not about how many pounds you run. It is about how much cfm you flow the higher the boost you run the more heat you are creating

^^What he said^^. Try not to get too hung up on boost numbers. It's really just a measurement of restriction. A given combination could build 10# boost and post 200hp. By improving exhaust and cam profile it could theoretically only build 8# of boost but now be capable of 220hp. Conversely, your 10# boost might be increased by putting a properly calibrated potato in your exhaust.
