PHANTOMa Posted November 1, 2012 Report Share Posted November 1, 2012 Have this motor and tranny still in my 520 and runs AMAZING....(see video)....bought the truck a year ago and it wasn't running at the time but I made a throttle cable bracket and threw on a carb from a 720 and it fired up like it never stopped, even though the dizzy had a seized vac advance but since then I put on a brand new j13 dizzy from oreillys (PURE LUCK that they actually had one).....anyways I'm gonna put an sr20de in it so I just don't need this anymore.....thinking about keeping it in there til the sr's ready to go but if people show interest I'll pull it out for whoever wants it......and as far as I know its the same engine/tranny for 411's too.....I'll post the link to the video and some pics in a few minutes Link to comment

I have 2 vehicles that use E1 or J-series engines and 5 complete engines (the 2 E1s are both in need of rebuild, though). My 2 drop-in spares were $100 each, and one is a J16. See the issue? In the video it shows it nearly closed....was the engine still cold?? That may be it.....anyways, nice one :) --Ray Link to comment
