jovial_cynic
Hey folks. I'm picking up an SR motor tomorrow to throw into my 510, and I know that part of the installation requires either cutting/welding the crossmember or flipping it. I assume (although I haven't confirmed yet) that this is because of an oil pan clearance issue. The VG folks have an option to purchase a modified oil pan to address clearance issues. Does this exist for the SR guys? Quote Link to comment
jovial_cynic
oh, nevermind. easier/cheaper to take on the crossmember than the oil pan. I'm looking forward to this swap, in any event. body work is nearly done on the car, and i'm going to do some cleanup on the interior. I never cared about having the car look nice, but if i'm going through the trouble of installing the SR, I might as well make the car look presentable. Quote Link to comment
