Well the optional 1200 tach will fit. The 620 tach is the same just the clear plastic bezel is different.

620 tach is wired differently, just like an aftermarket tach

1200 tacho is wired to the dash harnes, using an induction loop

 

There is a slight difference in the font and colors, the later (non-USA) 1200s use the same

Also the redline is higher in the 620 tach

 

I have a 620 tach in my 1200. Just ran a wire out to the coil NEG terminal.

I had a 1200 tach in my 620.
