datzenmike
Soak the fuse box in vinegar over night. It unplugs easily enough. the vinegar will remove any corrosion on the brass? contacts. Normally there is zero resistance if the contacts are clean but corrosion and resistance is what makes your toaster heat up. Current through resistance gets hot!!! If those brass contacts get too hot they will loose their temper and not grip the fuses tightly. This makes a bad situation even worse. Oh, and replace the fuses for shiny clean new ones.
