haubstr
So Thumpers problem with not turning off with the key was solved with changing VR. I have a Z alternator with IR. So I need to change the alternator? Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
Haubstr So I assume you have the 2 jumpers in the connector where the old volt reg goes? I havent heard of this one with a IR type set up. I just know when a 510 dont shit off its the external volt reg. Thumper. Swap out all the fuses with NEW correct size fuses. Sometimes they just old and break at the end inside. Just parely touching. Try removing and rehooking up the connectors to clean up the corrossion. Quote Link to comment
thumper
Fixed. I should of checked this sooner. Lol I found the wire on the harness that goes to the fuse box for the horn fuse was corroded. I repined that one spade with a new one. Problem solved. Just in time. Heading out to the local thurs night car meet right now. Quote Link to comment

thumper
Car ran fine when I went to wends car meet. Last night it bogged out on me on the way to the meet. I had to limp it home. So another issue I have to look into. Only things I need to fix electronically now is - check starter wire to have it start on key - check water temp sensor to see if working - check why reverse lights do not work. I am going to do some more tinkering when I get home from work. Quote Link to comment
