68Datsun510 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 Hey folks, slight issue Ive been frustrated by for years, i have a grant wheel adapter, but it doesnt reach the horn contact, bending a curved contact upward to reach it also brings it more towards the center, and i get accidental BEEPS when i turn the wheel. Has anyone else had this SILLY issue? 69 510 btw... Quote Link to comment
fourfiveten Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 I'm running the grant adapter with a quick release. When I initially wired it up the horn was going of at random points in the turning radius, turned out that when I'd been putting it together I'd pinched the wire housing and it had gone through to the wire so whenever the bare wire at that pinch point came in contact with metal my horn would sound. Wrapped the wire with electrical tap at that point, no more intermittent beeping. Quote Link to comment

Skib Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 on the hub for my nardi the contact and the pegs for the signal return whernt even close enough to function. I just moved the turn signal assem. and cover forward up the the column till they where at perfect distance. but Im also not using the stock ignition switch and its completely tossed out so that and the steering lock spot whernt an issue for me Quote Link to comment

mklotz70 Posted September 11, 2012 Report Share Posted September 11, 2012 Most likely the adapter is the wrong one. I'm guessing your blinker cancellor doesn't work either. The copper ring on the bottom of the adapter is not close enough to the blinker switch. Quote Link to comment
