Where can I find these bushings.

Hey all,

 

I picked up a '68 510 and the back end is out of the car. Before I install it to help move it around and what not prior to paint. I would like to replace the bushings in the main rear beam/suspension mount. Bushings at the top of the picture.

 

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search of rear bushings and nothing came up.

I dont believe the original Nissan parts are available anymore. Your options are a bit limmited:

 

1) NOS set

2) Good used set (not likely to be found easily)

3) Aftermarket polyurethane

55466-A4600 for the rubber about $40 each.

 

55466-A4625 is a replacement kit. May include the washers nuts and bolt ... about the same price.

For those that have the bushings in Poly. Are they noisey/squeaky? Firmness is not a problem but squeaking poly bushings drive me crazy.

I looked on the US side and the 2 Nissan part numbers dont show any stock. Maybe Canada might still have some?

I've always torched the old bushings out. Some people drill a bunch of holes or slice through them with a dremel. Then peel them out. I like the torch method personally.

I recently pulled some worn out ones out of my spare cross-member and they were not too difficult. I went to try and use a hydraulic press but they came out really easy. I could have just hammer tapped them out. Give it a try and if they don't come out easy, you will most likely have to destroy them to remove them.
