How do I fill in large cracks in my dash pad?

My 521 has huge gaping cracks / splits in it. The vinyl covering is all there and not falling apart. But the dash just has huge cavernous gapes in it. I was thinking of just filling the cracks in with some kind of filler that will last long and hopefully prevent them from getting worse. Then maybe sand it down and paint the filler to match the dash. I know this is ghetto as hell, but the only alternative is to replace the dash- lol. I think the only thing rarer is the Loch Ness monster. Any suggestions guys?

If you check my build thread on the 710 I have pics of a quick fill job I did on my dash.

 

Ill eventually glass the whole thing for longevity but fulling works for quite a while.

Bumper repair filler usually works pretty good since it is sandable and flexible.

itl do for now, not as long lasting as glassing the whole thing but its a lot better then the volcanoes I had in my dash.
