Zomgturbozombiejesus
Title says it all, DC metro area would be nice but east coast is good. Link to comment
wayno
I have a few of these sitting around, as I use the gears on the L cases/housings, and I scrap the napZ cases. If you can't find anything closer, let me know, we can work something out. Which case you need, the small or big cluster gear bearing? Link to comment
datzenmike
Just in case you don't know. The bell housing and the front half of the transmission case are all one piece. This is from an L series FS5W71B but the Z series will look very similar. You may know this already, but if not, I wouldn't want you start tearing it apart and get into trouble. Any questions just ask. BTW the front case from a KA 5 speed will also work but you will need to use a 62mm counter bearing. Link to comment
Zomgturbozombiejesus
Hmm not sure I understand... I have a 280zx five speed that I'm looking to bolt onto a ka in the near future for a swap. Thought I could just swap out the housing and be good to go. Thanks Link to comment
datsunaholic
"Swap out the housing" is a little more complicated with these, as the bellhousing IS the entire front transmission case. Meaning you have to take the transmission apart significantly. It's not like American cars with a bolt-on bellhousing. Link to comment
Zomgturbozombiejesus
Is there a how-to for this? I did some searching and didn't see anything. Link to comment
