GERMS
I bought a donor 620 and the external alternator on the L18 has what seems to be a plug in voltage regulator that plugs in the F N connector. The truck has no wiring at all, it was all pulled by previous owner so not sure if he did the bypass on the harness. Ill be using this alternator with the donor L18 for now until Im ready for my KA swap, I assume I have to do the bypass thing at the voltage regulator connection if I use this right? banzai510(hainz)
Maybe its for noise suppresion as one of those wires tells the alternator to turn on(energize it up) as it really has noting to do with the out put of this alternator(I think)GG Zilla would know for sure ,Datzenmike Datsunaholic Quote Link to comment
