cdub42
If I warm my truck up before I leave for work it stutters and misfires at constant throttle but accelerates just fine. But when I jump in and go without warming up I have no problems for as long as I drive it. Ideas? Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Probably the difference between EFI that everyone is used to and a carb with the choke on. Carbs run very rich with the choke on and can missfire. You could try adjusting the choke slightly leaner or adjust the fast idle higher so it gets more air. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
If it is warmed up, the choke should be open and not involved. Sounds to me like you have a vacuum leak. Most likely it will not be at the gasket, but will be in one of the many diaphragms. Track it down. Quote Link to comment

ggzilla
Easy solution: Do not warm it up, just start it and go. when I jump in and go without warming up I have no problems Quote Link to comment
