KyushaKai Posted June 10, 2012 Report Share Posted June 10, 2012 Tried swapping to T3 control arms the other day but the sleeve on the control arm bolt is STUCK. I tried to order new ones but my local dealership and Courtesy Nissan said it's NLA. Anybody have an idea where I can find a pair of them? Or have a pair available that doesn't have the sleeve permanently fused to the bolt that they can sell me? Or even have any tricks or tips to removing it? We tried muscle, soaking it with liquid wrench, and heat. BTW, it's a '71... the dealer told me the earlier models had a different bolt. Quote Link to comment
karnutz Posted June 10, 2012 Report Share Posted June 10, 2012 Heat it up then quench with wd40 or any type of spray oil. Should work but you need to get the bolt pretty hot(almost red hot). Quote Link to comment
