Found in junk yard 83-84 Nissan 2wd/4x4

Is it possible to use a 83-84 set up from a Nissan/Datsun years for disk brakes ?? With the brakets? For my 620 Datsun ?

if your 620 is a 78 or 79, then yes you can swap the whole spindle over to the 620.. if its 72-77, you'll have to do the aftermarket disk brake swap..

Well I have a 74. I was. Trying to save the hassle from not spending a lot that's why find it all at once that's why I asked... Isn't that year a d21 hardbody. All I would need is the cailbar from it ?

I have a 78 datsun KC so what would the difference of switching the spindles over? better breaking? less brake fade?

Idk would that work ?? I want to make it all smiple then having to find different parts u kno ? As long as I have brakes with a 17inch rim I'll be happy

No. Later '82.5 and up 720s had similar brakes to the early D-21s. '78-'79 front disc brakes were similar to '80-'82.5 720 brakes.

 

The 720s were getting heavier and heavier so the brakes were up-graded with larger calipers/pads and vented rotors.

so this wouldnt work for general driving nothing major... would it stop a truck with 17s on it ? even if they where heavy or not ?
