ggzilla
620 jack is a rotary type (looks like a hydraulic jack). They are really lame for doing maintainence, but OK for changing a tire on the side of the road. Link to comment

ggzilla
Saw a blazer on the side of I-5 today held up by a scissor jack. As long as the truck is not loaded, it should work well., Link to comment
INDY510
. I've had cars fall off of scissor jacks,,,, and cheap small floor jacks ....... .. basically anything in gravel or dirt = FAIL ..... .. a small square of plywood is a good thing to carry .... ... and low car ramps .... Link to comment
Rocket Dog
You can find bottle jacks at Harbor Freight or Sears, etc. They're profile is not low enough to slide under the read axle but they work find jacking up on the chassis frame. Link to comment
