73 510 f20 new to these cars

Alright guys names mikey ive been slowly working away at this but since ive lost my spot at where i was working on the car im going to move it to my buddies show where hes going to do most of the fab work for me.

 

His shop is called Centerline here in Toronto (Brampton) Ontario, Canada.

 

Im currently on vacation but im bored so im going to post up the chassie pics that i have alerady uploaded and well go from there.

 

My end goal for this year is to just get the f20 running and all the suspension componets done

 

The motor came out of my buddies 03 s2000 that only had 25 000 kms on it that got stolen and they got back the motor that was all

Bare with me as this is my first build thread tho i have built an 1998 240sx rb power car before that ive sold.

 

im open to opinions and helpful ideas and tips again this is my first build thread so be nice please

 

here is whats done to the chassie already..

 

completely stripped of all undercoating & sound deadener in and out.

- roll cage fabrication by O'Brien Motorsports Brampton

- 01' STCC (Swedish Touring Car Championship)roll cage design

 

- front strut towers and diff. mounting tied to cage network

- fiberglass hood, front fenders, fender flares , and front spoiler

-skinned trunk lid and doors (no glass)

- front struts 81' 280 zx with coil-over kit

- fresh re-built 81' 280 zx front calipers

- camber plates welded into strut tower.

- used koni shocks & new Datsun Roadster competition springs on rear

- Engineered Datsun Products rear disc brake conversion w/ brackets

- fresh re-built 81' 280 zx rear calipers w/ new rotors (81-280zx)

- new polyeurethane red suspension bushings front and rear

- cheviot 13x7

- bicknell racing products 15 gal. fuel cell with budget top, foam & powder coated red steel case

- spare tire area removed to accept fuel cell

- rear subframe exhaust hole opened up to 4"

- was going to convert to steering rack from 2004 sentra ser specv (included)

- rear bulkhead to block fuel cell area and also to accept fuel surge-tank

yeah its been over a year since i touched her

but its going to my buddies shop the motor will be in

 

i still got to decide what i want to do with wiring.

Im thinking of using the entire s2k wiring and ditching the datsun wiring totally.

 

also i gotta figure out what im doing for breaks lol

 

my goal is to get teh s2k dash into the 510 hope it works out

4 door sedan

Engine and transmission swap from a Honda S2000

F20C 2.0L DOHC VTEC engine with 240 horsepower and 9000 rpm redline

6 speed manual transmission

Honda OBD2 wiring harness conversion with fully functional S2000 digital instrument cluster and immobilizer system

1982 Nissan 280ZX brakes, 4 wheel disc

Rack and pinion steering conversion

Custom built front swaybar

Limited slip differential with 4.11 rear end gears

Shaved rear door handles, padded dash, am fm radio and cd player

Front bucket seats from a Toyota MR-2, rear bench seat is original Datsun

NHRA approved gas tank and fuel lines

HID headlights

New windshield

Drive line loop

New drag slicks

3 inch exhaust with side cutout in front of right rear tire, and full exhaust running to the back with a stock Honda muffler. Very quiet and stealth when the cutout is capped, and easily uncorked for the race track.

yeah but im not going to be retaining any of that.

im going to fit the s2k dash into the car and i have the oe rear windshield but im still deciding if m going to just go with lexan glass all around....

 

the car will be a track and weekend for fun car lol
