socaldatsun
has any one tried to put a harness in a 521? or any other datsun truck with the bench seat? we obviously dont have the room for a harness bar so where else would the two top straps go? the bottom goes to where the original goes bolted up right? Elkie
If you gonna use a bench seat there's no reason to have a racing harness. If you switch to a bucket seat or racing seat you can weld a bar in behind them for mounting points. You'll want to run the top of the harness through the seat. Quote Link to comment

Lee R
They can still work fine for everyday driving. It would keep you in your seat but if you want to get technical and have total safety reliability, then check out the degrees and angles near the bottom of the link. :) http://www.takatarac....com/guide.html Quote Link to comment
Elkie
Since the bench seat is lower then your shoulders, any kind of force in the top harness would be transferred to your clavicles. Hope you like broken clavicles. Also the stock seatbelt will work fine for everyday driving. Quote Link to comment
socaldatsun
well eventualy I want buckets. Would the only way to install them is to install a harness bar? Quote Link to comment
