This is my project/DD. 1972 Datsun 240z I bought it the way it sits right now. I'll be slowly building it over time. This is how it looks. Needs a ton of work but I didnt wanna see it go to waste. I love these cars. Future plans include either a L28ET or a RB25DET. The car was originally orange so I'm leaning towards painting it back that color. - Rick Quote Link to comment

2fas4joo Posted January 18, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 18, 2012 Thanks guys! Under the hood is stock, well for the most part. Original L24 that was rebuilt about 40k miles ago. Previous owner shaved the heads and put in a "stage 4" MSA cam. I have a pic that I'll post up anyways. Also, not sure if you can really tell in the pics, but the previous owner shaved the gas filler door and installed a fuel cell in the back. haha. Here are some more pics. 2fas4joo Posted January 20, 2012 Author Report Share Posted January 20, 2012 Alright, to get this ball rolling, I'm gonna be ordering some stuff soon. - ZTherapy carb rebuild kit should either be ordered today or Monday - Brake stuff. Trying to decide if I wanna go ahead and upgrade to some better brakes. - Wheels/tires.Probably gonna pick up a set of Diamond Racing wheels like Crazyoctpus has on HybridZ for the time being. I have a set of something else lined up, just waiting for the guy to want to sell them. - Exhaust. Probably something custom from a local shop or something. Was quoted ~$600 from Eurowise in Charlotte ( "mandrel bent aluminized steel, with v-band clamps, and 1 straight thru muffler" ) but I'm gonna keep looking around. - Suspension. Small drop.
