help- Loud Air sound - carburator -

We're so close to having this 521 operational !!! any help greatly aPPRECIATED !

 

today, We started her up and found a loud air sound at the carb,

but we cant pinpoint where exactly its coming from?

Cool ,,, keep moving forward ,,,

 

Look for any vacuum leak ,,, check intake manifold gasket ,,, around 8-15ft lbs ( Don't quote me ) ,,, adapter plates on weber carbs can leak if not tightened properly ,,, carbs need around 5-8ft pounds of torque ,,, no more or it will warp baseplate ,,,, check all hoses are intact ,,, and placed properly

Air cleaner on? If not it makes a loud air sound.

ITS THE VTEC YO

 

 

 

If your air cleaners off it's gonna sound like a vacuum cleaner.

Dunno what engine or if 521's had any smog but check for leaks around smog bs.
