VoidDragon
Hey hey. had a question to run by everyone. Found a ford 9 in. for free. So obviously, I took it. It may be overkill, but its stout. Has lsd options. And adds a bit of weight. All of which I like for my newly sr powered wagon. But. If I'm going to go through all the trouble of shortening it... May as well 4link as well eh? My current idea is this: an almost bolt on. Using stock leaf mounting spot, a single peice bracket (would connect both sides) the connecting tubing would be where the top set of links bolt to. The lower links some where near the stock leaf mounts. The connecting " bridge" may go above and below the drive shaft for strength, and to act as a shaft loop catch thing. I'm wondering if the stock shock mounting points could handle coilovers? Beef if up just to be sure? Would the angle be good or bad for that application? Or cut out that section and build another "bridge" to mount coilovers to? Thanks in advance. Quote Link to comment

Jester
Don't use your stock shock mounts for coil over mounts. They were never built to hold the weight of our cars. Quote Link to comment
