Radiant-Designer
what are you putting it on? I would think it would be too much for a stock engine.... Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hey can i use an MSD blast coil with out the actual computer Can you use the MSD coil with the '79 EI matchbox dizzy??? Well the matchbox is intended for use with a coil which has a primary resistance of between 0.76 and 1.1 ohms. If the MDS coil is withing this range I guess it's OK. If lower, you do run the risk of drawing more current through it and harming the matchbox module.(it probably will work fine, but?) Quote Link to comment
banzai510(hainz)
stock coil is fine for a 79 datsun 620 Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Hint: paint the stock coil RED and sell the master blaster wizz-bang fireball lightningvolt thundermug ground-pounder fire-storm coil to some kid for $50 and get some new wires, cap and rotor for yours. No-one (including you) will know the difference. Quote Link to comment

Oh yeah the fire coils are gay and for kids with their mothers hondas. The L20B rads in the 620s from '75 came in 2 and 3 core so if you happen to have a 2 core find a 3. Earlier ones may fit but are for L18/16 and the rad support is different on the '75 and up to make room for the larger rads. Quote Link to comment
