wire a z24 distrubiuitor

well im still tryin to get my truck running and i was wondering if i can make a separate wiring for my distribuitor and maybe coils on my z24 engine.

is your distributor a 3 wire or 4 wire

Z24 in the 81?

Won't start...no spark?

3 or 4 wire dizzy will work

inside the distributor the wire that comes off the b terminal goes to the + on both coils and c goes to the - of one of the coils and e goes to the other neg if i remember right but wait for mike or someone better to confirm this

its actually a 85 z24 and its a 4 wire dist. dual coils.

you wont use the fourth wire

no relays or anything needed??

why would it change depending what it goes in

well could i use the old coil wire to power the distribuitor?? im just trying to keep it as simple as possible and im not all that that whenit comes to wires.

so i decided to pull all the tape off the old 720 harnes and i puled the distribuitor and coil harnes from what i can see it looks like a big brown wire is what power this up coming from a relay...can i use the coil wire on the 620 harness and hook it to this brown wire im talkin about or should i hook the old coil wire before the relay??
