LeX
how do i tell if the diff in my 510 is a LSD. I was always under the assumption that on a car without a LSD like on my other car if you spin a wheel one way the opposite wheel will spin the different direction. On my 510 you spin one wheel and the other doesn't budge, same way the other way around. Does this mean i have an LSD.. or maybe just a worn out diff lol. But seriously, are there numbers underneath that would show me what particular one i have and if its a LSD? Quote Link to comment
Ethereal510
Check http://www.dimequarterly.com/ Go to technical section then drivetrain, there is a FAQ on Subaru and Datsun LSD Quote Link to comment

datsunaholic
In order to get the one wheel turn opposite in some cases you need the input shaft locked (in gear, basically). I'd say you have a plain old open diff though- just a hanging brake on one side. Quote Link to comment
