620fever Posted September 4, 2011 Report Share Posted September 4, 2011 Hey guys, been looking through the forums, and getting excited for a new project I bought a little bit ago, 77' regular cab 620. I'll post some pics shortly. Just got in a new rear window and new weber carb, so had to let off the excitement. I'll be replacing the head gasket, putting on the new carb and debating whether or not I want to put a mild cam in the stock L20 this week so I'll let you guys know how it goes. I was (and still am) the same way with my truck :P And I'd say do all the minor work on the motor (fixing leaks, changing oil an filters, new fluids) before you get any mods and since you already got the carb, I'd say get the cam next! Those are the 2 cheapest and easiest power boosters for an L series! Lookin forward to seeing your truck ;) Quote Link to comment
