Aaron Datsun
For all of your Colorado (Or western Kansas? if anyone lives out there) Datsun guys/gals the Z car club has a track day the 10th of Sept I know Darrel mentioned this in a previous post, but just wanted to re-state it. Track day as long as your car passes tech inspection you can run it if you pay the money. Even if you don't want to race come out work corners, chat up fellow Datsun owners, maybe even get a ride along. Bring water, food, and a notebook to get contact information. I say we should make this a mini Datsun Car Show. I don't plan on racing (Car won't pass tech inspection next year after I get suspension sorted I am planning on running), but I plan on going and checking out all the cars. darrel
No need to work corners, the sponsorship I was able to get from a very generous Boulder Nissan is taking care of the corner workers. If anyone would like to go for rides, make sure you bring a helmet, have long cotton pants, long sleeve cotton shirt and closed toed shoes. Why won't your car pass inspection? It's a pretty cursory look over as long as no serious leaks and safety belts in place, good pedal feel you should be good to go. Quote Link to comment
Aaron Datsun
I have a nice black bungie holding my battery in place, and I don't have a helmet. Its a nice firm bungie not a crappy little one, if that makes any difference Quote Link to comment
darrel
no, bungie won't do it. Better find a tie down quick, or bring the wagon. ;-) The motorcycle dealership on north washington still has a m2005 helmet open face, probably full too. the open face is about $130. Quote Link to comment
Aaron Datsun
The wagon is sold! It was a great daily driver, but not enough on it to tinker with. Quote Link to comment

Aaron Datsun
Like caravan or ride together? either way I am cool with that. Quote Link to comment
darrel
we have about 35 registered so far, break even is 39. I'm sure we'll break even and the club will probably make a little money. hope to see you guys out there, maybe ask for ride alongs. I think I posted the dress code, if not check out the zccc web site, more info there. Quote Link to comment
Aaron Datsun
Well I went half the day, and loved what I saw. The silver 240z that is turbo'd is FAST, and Jeff Winters 240 race car is also Very FAST. This is the motivation I need to get my car done so I can get it out there. Just need it to be a bit safer before I want to take her out. No ride alongs for me this year, but a great day none the less. Well enough talk here are some pictures. ] Quote Link to comment
darrel
Thanks for coming out and taking pics Aaron!. I think this is the first time we had more Nissan/Datsun cars than non. I hope that continues. Of course we won't be an exclusive datsun/nissan track event, we still like an eclectic bunch of cars at our events. I am really curious what the numbers will be like for makes and models. We had 50 maybe 51 with two drivers for one car. Special thanks to Boulder Nissan for the second time in sponsoring our event by allowing us to hire corner workers. Quote Link to comment
