Found a Weber 32/34 for my 74 620 and I want to know how this would work on my truck???

it would work great if its in good condition. rebuid kits are cheap if you are unsure and super easy to rebuild

Thanks, the carb looks like it was already rebuilt. I am just going to keep it till the Hitachi goes out or starts giving me trouble.

did it come with a carb adapter? the bolt spaceing is different on webers

If it's a 32/34 DFT they have the same bolt spacing as a stock Hitachi. At one time the DFT was a smog-legal replacement, since they had an adapter for the stock air cleaner and many had C.A.R.B. certification tags.

I have a couple DFTs. Totally different carb than a DGV/DFV type. Also really obsolete- parts aren't easy to come by, except jets which are common to many different Webers. They seem to run OK but they have to be mounted backwards (choke in FRONT) to make the throttle work.

You can also call weber direct and ask about their adapter plate and you may have to modify linkage..good luck. If that carb is been sitting for awhile, you may want to freshen it up some or rebuilt...you don't want to go through the hassle of installing and then it squirts gas all over the place. Good luck..
