DISLEXICDIME
Well the clutch in my 1200 is slipping . So what clutch's do you like to use on your a12. I have a clutch from napa but I don't think I want to use it. Most the parts I have bought for my datsuns from napa have failed usualy in a short amount of time and I don't want to do this twice. datzenmike
I assume the disc is 180mm diameter? A-12......... 30210 G1002 315 Kg clamping force. A14/15.... 30210 N1600 360Kg clamping force Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Diakin or Exedy. Buy the Nissan part if you want the best, and don't mind the price. The Nissan part is just like the original, strong for the A12, but not overly strong so that you have a heavy pedal like with the A14 clutches. I just took out the Nismo street clutch and put in a new Valeo clutch. It works great. Much better than the Nismo unit, which was a bit abrupt. Before you tear it down, make sure the 1) clutch pedal and 2) release arm both have play. If they don't, the clutch will slip. So there is a chance you can adjust it and stop the slippage. DISLEXICDIME
I have play at the slave i will check the pedal tomorrow.but the adjuster for the slave is adjusted all the way in(adjuster nut is as close as it can be to the slave cylinder. this don't seam right to me ether the pedal is adjusted wrong or the clutch is toast Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
At the slave there should only be about 3mm play. It is independent of what the pedal has. The pedal spec is 1" play (a lot). Quote Link to comment
