quick question what brake fluid for my 521

The 620 uses DOT 3 so likely the 521 does too. In theory you should be able to substitute higher numbers. They are compatibe, have a higher boiling point and some absorb less water.

 

My 521 uses DOT 3. DOT 3 & 4 are compatible, DOT 5 is NOT compatible with the other two.. Mixing DOT 5 with the other fluids can cause brake failure.

Use Castrol DOT4 fluid and be happy! DOT5 is a silicone fluid, never to be used on ABS, it foams under repeat pulsing, which you don't have to worry about. It is an anomalous compressable fluid due to the silicone structure. Under pressure the molecule deforms and gives spongy brakes. Fine for autocross but not for ordinary road use.
