wildmaninid
Well without a choke, and running lean, It is understandable why it was a bitch to start cold....my weber runs so rich I don't need a choke lol! The hitachi's are good carbs, but they get to a certain place, usually after they have been screwed with like yours, where its better to just start over with somethin else. Anyhow, love the truck man! Quote Link to comment
btbammer
Yeah I am really curious to see if the return to idle plug will fix the dying issue. Andthe weber is the FIRST THING ill do, After tags and registration of course :P Quote Link to comment
datsunaholic
"Return to idle plug"? You mean the idle solenoid? If it's not hooked up, it'll never idle as it's a cut-off. Quote Link to comment
btbammer
The way the carb and dist is set it will "run" and yes, it is hooked up but he thinks it's bad. Once I get one in that is proven to work, ill readjust the dist and carb and see if the old one was actually bad. My theory is the po's messed with the dist and carb so much cause the idle plug went down. So they "forced" it to run. And so ill see I guess? Quote Link to comment
