eastwood pre paint prep

Recommended Posts

i have been getting ready to paint some stuff up that recommends using pre prep on the forums and threads i have read (engine bay, chassis) ... my issue, it smells like acetone, goof off, or carb cleaner. can i just use carb cleaner or parts cleaner in place of this pre paint prep stuff?... has anyone ever used it?

any info would greatly help. thank you.

In my experience, there is no substitute for a good paint prep. Remember, you pay for what you get.

I payed $30 for some Sherwin Williams paint prep stuff, and it's quite amazing. I've got 3/4 of a bottle still and I've done quite a bit of painting.
