bikermike
In search of pump for Kangaroo washer bag. Please send a PM if you have one you'd like to sell or trade. I would also be interested in the bag/pump assembly. Thanks. Link to comment
DatWifey
Just some food for thought.... our pump went out on our '71 521 Kangaroo bag too, so we scoured the junkyards and found that the pump out of a 1983 Sentra had the same fluid outlets to light up perfectly in the bag, but slightly different prongs for the electrical to hook up. They stick out from the motor rather than soldered on the side like the stock 521 did. We just bent the prongs down and it fits perfectly and looks stock in the pouch now. There's an '84 and '85 Sentra in a local yard about 15 minutes north of us that we can check out again if we end up back in the area this coming weekend for you, if you're interested. Link to comment

DanielC
Try taking the pump out of the bag, and then take the pump apart. you can clean out the cavity the pump impeller is in with a toothbrush, or a detail brush, using dishwashing detergrent, and you might get your pump to work again. bikermike
Thanks for your response, but the problem is that the car I bought has the bag but no pump. Link to comment
ggzilla
You can buy universal pumps at Oreilly's and other auto parts stores. Or a new Kanga bag from Nissan. The pump is considered non-removable, part of the bag. Link to comment
vindats1
those original pumps never last very long even when rebuilt...best to find another model/car as suggested or buy an aftermarket one and hide it behind the bag if you can. Link to comment
bikermike
Thanks to all for your responses. I found a bag and pump that hopefully will last a bit. If it goes out I'll look at hiding a pump as suggested. Thanks again. Link to comment
