ggzilla
That is an early head (pre-B210) does it have large oval ports with water passages just below them? That's the most desirable head of all A-series engines. Your head gasket looks fine, just like the compression test showed. Quote Link to comment
ggzilla
Heli-coil is good, it's as strong as the original threads. Do the bolts have '13' on them? Those are the good ones. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
On my way to pick up a new gasket right now. I just dont want to put it back together without knowing what the problem is. My dumb ass should have gave it a leak down test or compression before I tore it apart. Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
Bought the original steering wheel emblem from ebay and put it on. Killers pin has been relocated to my red 521 visor. I still need that darn horn button on the left. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Growling from the water pump just got fixed. I wanted to put the factory fan back on but I didn't like the spacing and I couldn't get the bolts back in because of the offset with the radiator in the way. I also left the shorter bolts at pick and pull. So the metal fan is back on for now but I do have the fan and spacer for a later installment. The long spacer made the plastic fan basically touch the radiator and the short spacer looked too distant. On second look it probably would have been fine. Quote Link to comment
dat521gatherer
Difference in the 2 fans really is not much the original fan is a bit smaller. Long pump. A little paint for the shroud and pulley. Done. dammit that took way too long. Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
So I got a few things done on the b210 this weekend. Nothing special but since I never see the car cause our daughter is always out with it I took the opportunity to play with it a little and take it to work a couple days seeing she's out of town. I repainted the front bumper and grill. 1 Quote Link to comment

dat521gatherer
The left tail light was melted on the bottom so I replaced it. Strange the bulb sockets were fine. Quote Link to comment
