atkinson40
Got new tie rods and can't find how to put the grease zerks in?? Came with these extra parts. Can't believe they're sealed?? I see grease around the rubber boot. TIA Kevin Quote Link to comment
68Datsun510
Thats the way things are going these days, "permanently lubricated". AKA CHEAPER TO MAKE. Bullshit!!! Quote Link to comment
atkinson40
Could believe that, but why send me the zerks? -K Thats the way things are going these days, "permanently lubricated". AKA CHEAPER TO MAKE. Bullshit!!! Quote Link to comment
motavated
Some have clips on the boot. Just take of the clips and or spring and smudge some extra grease inside and resemble. Is this an autozone part? Mine were the same. I was not so confident in them so I swapped them out. Quote Link to comment
Just Joel
Moog right? I order a compleat front set and one of the tie rod ends looked identical to the one you show here but the rest of the kit looked like the typical moog part with the zerk fittings and castle nuts rather than a nylock. I called moog and they had no decent explanation for the miss matched part but they had no problem replacing the part with one to match the others. Later Joel Quote Link to comment
Jennifer
hey!! im doing mine too...what kind of grease do i put inside?...is there a particular kind and where do i find? thanks mucho!!! Quote Link to comment
Stfwells
^^^I would assume the typical white lithium grease. You should be able to find it at any parts store or even possibly Wal-mart. I don't understand why they would send you the zerk.? Do they expect you to drill and tap it? Quote Link to comment

Just Joel
My theory about the miss matched part is that they sent an inferior end with their typical parts kit ;) Later Joel Quote Link to comment
