banzai510(hainz)
use your clutch and T/O bearing set up from your 521..hopefully your not cheap and using the old one. Buy a new one and make SURE they are the same!!!!!double ck! You cant get the tranny on? WTF!!!!!!!! How you doing this. I lift the trans with a jack to get it high as possible. then use a engine hoise with a load leveler. and angle that MOFO in to pass the steering arm. then line it up much as possible then you might have to turn the crank pully to move the crank a bit so the splines line up. The 521gatherer lives in tacoma I told you to PM him he might be able to help. Quote Link to comment

banzai510(hainz)
L18 and L16s car flywheels are the same. 200mm Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
The clutch disc has to be centered so the tranny input spline will pass through it and into the pilot bushing in the end of the crank. You will need a tool for this or a good eye before tightening down the pressure plate. If you haven't removed the clutch then it should slip right in. Quote Link to comment
NWOleman
the flywheel's aren't always the same! i had a 225mm 5bolt flywheel on my L18. i still need to take a pic of it for datzenmike. i think it was out of a truck tho. Quote Link to comment
datzenmike
Would love a picture of it. The 5 bolt 225mm was used on the L18 in the 620 truck for just under a year. ('74) The 225mm truck PP has a clamping force of 1,213 lbs. The closest to this in the 200mm size (not counting the Roadster PP) is 992 lb. Quote Link to comment
