5-14-11 BBQ & Work Day

Recommended Posts

SacDatsun had a little local BBQ & work-on-your-car-day at the club ringleaders house. I showed up pretty late but we had 7 Datsuns in attendance. 4 of which Dave, the 'ringleader' owns. But it still counts!!

The event ended fairly early because Dave had other things to attend to, but while he was there, Randy aka Ranman72 did an IR alt swap. Once things dispersed i followed Randy and his wife Jacque back to their house to pull the fuel tank to try and figure out why his car keeps stalling from lack of fuel. The OICS tell the rest of the story.

We are pretty sure the PO replaced the filler at some point and managed to drop this into his tank in the process.

We figure its been blocking the fuel lines when vacuum pulls towards the lines. All fuel lines checked and are clear, pump works fine, filter is new and carb screen is clean. Time will tell if what we did, worked!!
