Now the engine is quiet but the gen light comes on when its at a idle. at first it keeped dying. think they are to tight? but it runs real smooth. any how still love it. someone was in this not to long ago. real clean inside. datzenmike Posted February 21, 2008 Report Share Posted February 21, 2008 Hainz is right about the timing and carb adjust. Before adjustment, your cam would have had later opening and earlier closing and less duration. The timing would have been set to reflect that and now needs to be changed. Do you have a tach? the idle may seem right but may also be slightly lower, causing the charge light. Quote Link to comment
