izzo
Maybe just hook up a dummy light under the dash. It only pops on for a second until you start the car... Maybe install a little LED somewhere on the dash. That way you can tell when/if the alt dies... They make lots of little accessory lights you could get. Summit racing sells super tiny ones even.. Datmorris
I'm new to this forum and can use some advise regarding the wiring up of an LR-150 alt on an A-series. I took note of what was said here previously and that is a big help, but still want to make sure I get it right. As this set up is in a 1955 Morris Minor with a very basic after market wiring harness. The alt contains a large white wire at the S terminal and that should go to the ing switch if I read everything correctly, the L terminal has a white with red stripe and that was said to go to the ind charge light in a stock Datsun wiring harness. In this case there is no charge light, etc., so the question remains as to where I can safely hook this to for it to function properly. Can it be hooked to the same ing switch lead as the S terminal? ggzilla
The B310 (210) has a resistor across the CHG lamp, so even if the lamp is blown out it will still charge. However, when starting the car key ON engine OFF, the lamp won't light, so you know there is a problem. Quote Link to comment
